FOM2 Series
What is FOM2 Series?
The FOM2NT laser represents the third generation of Amada's proven FO series that was introduced in 1999. The FOM2 combines features available on the FO series of lasers as well as some of the leading edge technology available on Amada's FI linear drive systems. Equipped with a solid-cast frame, water assisted cutting, and a high-precision motion system, the FOM2 boasts new features such as automatic nozzle changer, cut process monitoring, and autopierce detection. The FOM2 is engineered to meet the high quality and shorter lead time demands of today's fabricating companies. Additional enhanced features include the new Amada tuned oscillator from Fanuc as well as spatter free pierce for higher quality piercing in thicker material.

The oscillator AF4000iB can generate stable laser beam without fluctuations.
It achieves high quality, stability and cutting speed.

The latest design cutting head
The Z axis acceleration, deceleration and sensing response capability of HS 2007 Sensor Head makes it possible to process the top surface of checker plate without rubbing a nozzle.

Cut process monitoring System
Cutting starts quickly after detecting pierce penetration. Adjusts cutting condition by monitoring gouging and plasma to give repeatable edge quality and continuous stable production.

Single lens cut
The Optimum beam controlled by AO system generates best cutting condition from thin to thick materials, changing the beam size at the time of piercing and processing.

Spatter Free Pierce
Applying an oil shot onto material prior to piercing prevents spatter from adhering to the surface of the sheet ensuring stable high quality cutting can be maintained.
