LCαSeries

What is the LC-αSeries?

Amada's laser machines constantly provide their users with optimum solutions. The LC-α or ‘alpha laser’ is a table type laser machine that was first launched in 1993. The LC-α series has more than 3000 across the globe. This best selling laser machine has proven high reliability. The 4th generation, LC-α4NT Series, laser machines have been greatly upgraded and made even easier to use along with higher speed and accuracy. Each mechanism has been reviewed while making the most of good handling properties only possible on table type machines. Various functions demanded by many customers are installed as standard.

Non-contact Z-axis tracking sensor

The Z-axis tracking sensor is constructed to reduce the effect of plasmas and adopts a high-frequency band (MHz) to make it less susceptible to noise. This means the gap between the worksheet and laser head can be read more accurately for high-speed stable processing.

Purge unit

A purge unit has been adopted to keep the laser beam path from the oscillator to the laser head clean. The divergence and attenuation of the laser beam caused by spatter particles and other foreign matter are kept away from the laser path, to ensure uniform processing.

NC focus control

Despite changes in material type, thickness and processing method, the optimum focus position is searched from a data base and automatically set. As the distance from the oscillator to the laser head changes, the curvature of the mirrors is changed to keep the focus constant. This helps to assure the stable quality of the laser beam. Use of a small-diameter nozzle –‘eco cut’ reduces the consumption of the assist gas.

Cartridge type ultra light laser head

Cartridge type focus lens and nozzles are adopted to allow for one-touch installation and removal. The lens and nozzle can be changed simply without any special tools or complicated wiring and piping tasks. The setup time required for changing the lens, centering the nozzle, and adjusting the Z-axis tracking sensor is radically reduced.

Urethane rollers

Urethane rollers are added to the table in a staggered pattern. The urethane roller table can reduce the flatter of the worksheet and provide for processing of various material types with high quality.
